As a world-renowned plantain producer and exporter, Ecuador, with its unique natural conditions and well-developed planting system, has long been a global leader in banana exports. However, in recent years, an increasing number of local companies have begun to focus on further processing of bananas, exploring further value-added opportunities.
Recently, a customer from Ecuador purchased a complete set of plantain flour processing machine from our company, marking a significant step forward in the field of banana deep processing. The customer stated that, given the abundance of banana resources, relying solely on fresh fruit exports is insufficient to fully tap the potential of bananas. Therefore, they hope to extend the supply chain through processing technology and produce higher-value-added products.
Plantain flour is a nutritious and versatile product, used in bread, biscuits, baby food, healthy snacks, and more. With the growing global demand for natural, gluten-free foods, the market for plantain flour is proving increasingly promising. This collaboration will not only help clients launch high-quality products with local characteristics in the international market but also provide a new direction for upgrading Ecuador’s agricultural industry.
The client ultimately chose us over a wide range of equipment suppliers based on our expertise and extensive experience in banana processing. In this project, we provided a complete plantain flour production line for our Ecuadorian client, encompassing pre-treatment (cleaning, peeling, and slicing) through drying, crushing, screening, and packaging. The production line was tailored to the local raw material characteristics and production requirements. We also dispatched an experienced engineering team to oversee the entire installation, commissioning, and operator training process, ensuring rapid commissioning and stable operation.
